Historical architecture and product diversification

Built on the site of an early 20th-century sugar refinery, the Mezzano plant in the province of Ravenna retains all its artistic and historical charm. The large warehouses are brick-built, with large arched windows at side and front.
Located just 16 km from the port of Ravenna, Mezzano is the largest Gruppo Carli plant, covering some 360,000 square metres including production facilities and warehouses. The production capacity of the companies operating on the site is equally impressive in terms of tonnes of produce: over 100,000 per year.
This plant stands out for its ability to produce different product formats and packaging, ranging from various pellet sizes (diameter 2 to 18mm) to bales, de-dusted fodder for horses, high-compression American-style bales, Unifeed and organic cereals, right up to products for pets and gardening.
Near the Tre C factory visitors can explore the local flora and fauna at the environmental oases created by Gruppo Carli, part of the group’s commitment to the environment: some 500 hectares of woods and lakes set aside to safeguard the natural heritage of the area.
